Reid Richardson Plays for “North” Team in Annual Football Game at Clarendon Hall
Conway Christian School’s Reid Richardson recently participated in the SCISA (South Carolina Independent School Association) North-South All-Star Game.
On Friday, December 2, 2022 Senior Reid Richardson traveled to Clarendon Hall to participate in the annual North-South All-Star game alongside other SCISA-member school athletes. Players for the North-South All-Star team are nominated by their school’s head football coach and selected by SCISA representatives.
Richardson is the second athlete in Conway Christian School history to be selected to participate on the team. He played for the “North” team during the game. Deontray Onley was the first player to be selected from Conway Christian School in 2021.
Richardson has been a part of the Conway Christian School football team since the program began. He served as the team’s quarterback for many of those years. He also played the positions of safety and punter. During his time on the SCISA North-South All-Star team, Richardson played the position of slot receiver.
“Reid is a great competitor on both sides of the ball, and it has been a pleasure to coach him and see his progress as a player, as well as his growth as a young man” says Steve Hart. Hart serves as Conway Christian School’s Head Football Coach, Athletic Director, and Assistant Head of School. “Reid also is a standout in baseball and basketball. Most importantly, he excels in the classroom.”
The Conway Christian School football program will enter its fifth full season of football in 2023. This year was the first full season of 11-man football for the program.
